Art&Anthropology has a mission to fulfill…To create design that’s expressive, innovative and compelling. And most importantly, relevant. That’s critical. It’s Art, because your audience deserves something visceral. It’s Anthropology, because it’s what we help you reveal that creates communication tools that last.

( Back Story )
The Hickenlooper team is crazy about Art&Anthopology. The city turned to this highly innovative design firm to re-brand the DOCA, the Department of Cultural Affairs for Denver…
So when it came time for the Art&Anthropology team to build their own website, it was expected Art&Anthropology would create a sight that was well…really out there.
-You know, images of typography cut out to look like the shapes of a ransom letters, dancing in wild, jarring flash films – esoteric and underground – an homage to stream of consciousness creativity caught in the act; and if you didn’t get it, maybe…just maybe…they weren’t the right design firm for you…
But that’s not what happened. Art&Anthroplogy wanted their clients to truly understand what it is they do. And feel comfortable with the process.
Ok, so now imagine Jimi Hendrix with his Statocaster on stage…everybody who goes to see him wants him to light his guitar on fire.
And one day Hendrix decides he’s going to play without any showmanship. Because he’s decided the music is his message.
That’s the anecdote for the Art&Anthropolgy web site: Play it straight. Straightforwardly. Echo the concerns of the client. Demonstrate legitimacy. And respect for your clients’ needs.
